Why are Asbestos Surveys Important?
Since 1999 it has been illegal to use asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) when constructing buildings in the UK. However, that doesn’t mean the risk has gone away. A lot of buildings were built using the material, which is why surveys are so important.

Types of Surveys
There are three key types of asbestos survey that we offer: management, refurbishment and demolition. Each is different, so check below to see which one is relevant to your needs.
Management Surveys
This is the minimum survey required by law. It locates any ACMs and shows the extent of them within a building, noting any risk of damage or disturbance during everyday occupancy. More about management surveys.
Refurbishment Surveys
A refurbishment survey must be carried out before any intrusive refurbishment work, so that any ACMs in the affected areas are located and described. More about refurbishment surveys.
Demolition Surveys
Needed before any demolition work. Official guidance says ‘demolition’ is only used when the entire building is planned for complete removal. The survey records any ACMs present throughout the building.
